Attorney Fred Kray, cohost Kris Diaz, and the rest of the PBLNR crew welcome Jamie Devine. Ms. Devine was recently crowned Miss Philadelphia International. Miss Devine advocates for pit bulls and against BDL as part of the "platform" component in pageants. Through pageants she is able to reach people outside the animal welfare community.

In news, Reynoldsburg, OH, keeps its pit bull ban; a dog named Aladdin is not allowed to visit a hospital as a therapy dog (hospital claims missing paperwork, BDL advocates claim greatest success ever); and a police officer defends shooting a black lab because he thought it was a pit bull.

Yvette Van Veen discusses how to deal with a dog that is reacting to something out of fear. She warns that any training approach should be looked at as a medicine—what kind of side effects might it produce? She also gives specific advice regarding a dog that reacts to unaltered male dogs.
