Adam Karp, Esq., exclusively practices animal law throughout the states of Washington and Idaho. In this interview, he discusses Criscuolo v. Grant County, Washington, in which he, along with co-counsel Fred Kray, Esq., were successful in getting breed discriminatory regulation of pit bulls repealed. Mr. Karp and Mr. Kray explore their overall legal analysis of the case including the definition of "Pit bull" included in the ordinance, the scientific unreliability of visual identification, and the lack of due process in an appeal of such an identification. The conversation then goes into specifics, including the causes of action pled in federal court, discovery, and the selection of experts.
